Integrity in sales, service and education is the motto of NavMar Alpaca Farm. Although we are new to the business, we have a passion for these gorgeous, sweet tempered animals. This passion has led to us researching information online, in books and at wonderful farms in the eastern Virginia area. We look forward to sharing this information with you.

Why alpacas? Like so many people, we were looking for a way to get out of the rat race and living in large towns. Farm life seemed like a great solution. When we discovered how gentle these animals are, we knew they would be ideal for our young family. After analyzing the tax benefits and the income potential related to both alpaca and fiber sales, we knew we found the perfect second career.

Pictured here is our family with our first purchase of New York, NY. As you can see, she is a beautiful true black Huacaya with great conformity and fiber quality. We are agisting her at the same place we bought her, Cornerstone Farm Alpacas www.cornerstonefarmalpacas.com. We have found this to be a wonderful arrangement for us; allowing us to provide hands on care to our animal under the direct supervision of those with more experience while we search for land here for our alpacas ourselves.

It has been said that alpacas are similar to potato chips; you never want to have just a few. We have found that to be true as well. After enjoying New York for a short time, we purchased October’s Ghost, a young white Suri whose shiny luster has already won him ribbons. We look forward to building quality Suri and Huacaya herds from these two animals.
